Sun. Evening - Snow... and Soon Back to Average?

Synopsis:

A series of clippers and lake-effect snow will affect the state over the next week. Temperatures will gradually begin to recover... returning to average for this time of year... by the end of the week.

Models Used: 18Z GFS (primary), 18Z & 00Z NAM & Hi-Res NAM

Short term:

First clipper: Mon. Night into Tuesday. The bulk of the snow will be in southern PA.

Second clipper: Tuesday night into Wednesday. Light snow for much of PA, best chance north of the turnpike/ along I-78 & I-81. Longer duration (lasting through the daytime hours Wednesday) along and west of the Appalachians.

Long-Range:

Next system: Warm front (nearly coincides with 850-mb 0°C isotherm - southern PA) Thursday AM with little to no precipitation occurring; the weak cold front crosses early Friday AM into Saturday.
