Afternoon Forecast- Wednesday, November 9th, 2011

Synopsis:

As a low pressure system travels up into Canada, a connected cold front will pass through the Commonwealth bringing a chance for showers mainly in the western portion of the state. Temperatures will drop from the unseasonable 60s we have been seeing into the low to mid-40s by Friday. Clouds will cover the sky from Thursday and into Friday before finally clearing out for the weekend. Temperatures will warm slightly into the mid-50s as it stays dry and clear with plenty of sunshine.

Short Term:

A cold front will pass through the Commonwealth on Thursday bringing a slight chance for showers in the Western portion of the state. Clouds will stick around through Friday before clearing out for the weekend.

Long Term:

Skies look to be dry and sunny for the weekend, with temperatures rising back into the 50s by Sunday. Some clouds will work their way back into the area Sunday night.
