Wednesday Afternoon November 2th, 2011

Synopsis:

A high pressure will remain over the Commonwealth, leaving us with seasonal temperatures and clear skies.

Short Term:

The high pressure will give us clear skies and seasonal temperatures for the rest of the work week. There is a chance for a low to graze over the commonwealth and bring clouds and a slight chance for some isolated showers. A high pressure will force the low southward, creating a cut off low.

Long term:

There is a discrepancy with the GFS and NAM models in which the GFS calls for no clouds or precipitation for Friday with the low moving out to sea and staying very far to our south. The Nam calls for some clouds and the slight chance for rain across the northern portion of the Commonwealth. Another high pressure will take control for the weekend leaving us with seasonal temperatures and clear skies once again.
