Technical Discussion Monday Morning February 6th, 2012

Synopsis:

Temperatures remain mild across the commonwealth as a high pressure keeps things calm until Tuesday night and into Wednesday as a small low travels to the south of us bringing the small possibility of precipitation in the form of rain and snow showers. High pressure will come back into the picture for Thursday and into Friday leaving us with sunny skies and seasonable temperatures. Cooler temperatures will set in for the weekend.

Short Term:

Temperatures will remain mild for several hours as a high stays over the Commonwealth. Temperatures will begin to descend Tuesday as an approaching low travels to the south of us, leaving us with the chance for some mixed precipitation Tuesday night, and into Wednesday and Wednesday night for some areas as temperatures drop to the mid-30s during this time.

Long Term:

The low quickly passes through the Commonwealth, and another high comes through to raise the temperatures back into the 40s leaving us with sunny and mild conditions. The weekend looks to bring back cooler and more seasonable temperatures.
