Wednesday Afternoon Technical Discussion

Synopsis:

Cold front moving through tonight. Nor'easter tonight through tomorrow to remain in VA/ MD. High pressure in control through Sat. AM. Then, a mid-latitude cyclone to affect PA during the weekend.

Models Used: 12Z runs; MOS (except tonight) will suffice but later this week, use raw data for temps. early next week.

Short-term:

Clear across most of the State through the early part of this weekend. Temps back to more normal but still above avg.

Long-range:

Chaos is the word to describe how the models are handling the nor'easter/ cold front late next week. Euro says weakening; GFS says nor'easter; and the Canadian says cold front. What actually verifies remains a mystery.
