Synopsis: Surface high pressure system will continue to move out of the picture tonight. Large upper level trough approaches the region late on Thursday, pushing a cold front through late Thursday into Friday. Cooler temperatures and wet weather are expected until an area of high pressure takes charge early next week.
Short Term: A couple of showers associated with a warm front will make their way through extreme northeastern portions of the keystone state. High pressure system will continue to scoot off the coast, leaving us in a southwesterly flow heading into tomorrow. A nice start to the day is expected tomorrow, with seasonable temperatures. Cloudiness will increase as we get towards the late afternoon hours as the upper level trough digs in to the area. Showers and thunderstorms will spread through the region overnight, as band of very heavy rain looks to be setting up along a frontal passage.
Long Term: Upper level trough sticks around through Saturday, keeping conditions on the chilly side and bringing the chance of showers. It seems to move out of the area on Sunday, allowing for another high pressure to dig in. This will last through at least mid week.
