Short Term: Scattered showers, snow showers, and drizzle will linger tonight and tomorrow as an overall easterly flow persists across Pennsylvania. Some showers in the western half of Pennsylvania are lake enhanced and heavier precipitation rates can be found in these areas. Snowfall will generally be confined to the ridges and northwestern most portions of the state. Surface temps are generally marginal which will limit widespread accumulation. Low level clouds and rain showers will continue into early Friday.
Long Term: This weekend, the remnants of Sandy will gradually scoot to our north and a northwesterly flow will develop across the state. Cold air advection will pick up allowing temperatures to stay well below normal. Expect highs to struggle to get past 50 on Saturday and Sunday, while overnight lows will dip well into the 30s. Accompanied by this northwesterly flow will be leeward clouds. A mix of clouds and sun can be expected for the weekend.
