Synopsis: Sunny skies will be dominating the Commonwealth throughout the week. Temperatures will be about 10 degrees above the average of what we normally see this time of year, as highs at the beginning of this weekend will be hitting the upper 60's for the Southwestern part of Pennsylvania.
Short-Term: We could see some high clouds passing over the Northeastern corner of the state of Pennsylvania due to a low pressure system off the coast of New England that seems to be moving rather slowly, according to the GFS 06Z run.The good news, however, is that the rest of the Commonwealth will be seeing sunny skies as a high pressure system will be making its way from the Midwest into our area on Wednesday, pushing the low pressure system off the coast out to sea and bringing warmer temperatures into the state reaching into the mid 50's according to the MOS outlook.
Long-Term: The low pressure system will be moving away from the New England coast by Wednesday, bringing in sunshine for the entire state. The high pressure system will be remaining over the state until Saturday according to the GFS 06Z run, where temperatures will be warming up into the low 60's for the majority of the state.
