Technical Discussion
Synopsis
An area of high pressure will build across the state for the rest of the week, bringing above average temperatures and plenty of sunshine. A weak cold front will move into the region Saturday night, bringing the next chance for showers.
Short-term(Thurs-Fri)
An area of high pressure will continue it control of the weather for PA. The models are showing that the temperatures will be the 50s and 60s, with plenty of sunshine. The only thing to watch for is early morning valley fog, as there will be clear skies overnight.
Long-term(Fri- Sat)
Saturday will continue to be pleasant, but an approaching cold front will bring a few more clouds to the state Saturday night and into Sunday. The Models have continued to back away from showers on Saturday night. I kept the chance in, but if the next model run keeps the showers out then I could see taking showers out of the forecast. The latest run 12z, has the front washing out, which makes sense since it will be passing overnight and there will be no daytime heating to help fuel precipitation.
