Synopsis:
A low pressure system on the East Coast will push its way closer to the shore and spread clouds across Eastern PA. A strong ridge of high pressure then builds in and dominates the weather for the entire week.
Short-term:
As of a couple days ago, the models kept this low well offshore and further to the north, but yesterday afternoon the consensus was for a cloudy Monday as far west as State College. The 0Z model suite seems to moderate the two and keeps the edge of the cloud deck near or just east of here. It seems pretty likely that someone in NE PA will see a shower tomorrow, probably not as far southwest as Scranton. Clouds linger for Tuesday.
Long-term:
High pressure centered to our north will briefly act somewhat as a blocking high towards the middle-of-the-week system. Temperatures will likely be higher than MOS and warmest on Thursday or Friday, maybe even Saturday ahead of the front. Look for some high clouds on the Skew-T come midweek.
