Synopsis:
An upper-level low, cut-off from the upper air flow over Canada, will continue to produce showers on Saturday and Sunday. The cut-off low will weaken on Sunday, but the trough it produces is moving faster than another trough - the latter of which will produce a low pressure system over the Great Lakes region on Monday, which will affect the region on Tuesday (warm front) and Wednesday night (cold front). We will also be watching Tropical Storm Maria as it could come close to the U.S. in the next 96 hours, but won't be a factor for PA until Day 8 or 9 (nearly 180 hrs out).
Short-term:
The upper level low will move eastward and lead to pop-up showers during the coming days. On Sunday, a weak low may form near GA and move rapidly NEwrd, leading to a shower or two on Monday, but nothing significant. We then watch a stronger low heading in from the Great Lakes region.
Long-range:
A weak warm front may touch off some non-convective showers but don't look for the typical warming or humidity increase that follows. Looking at the thickness lines, there's a dip approaching and thus cooler weather is possible. Otherwise, a cold front will approach on Wednesday, not only increasing the threat for rain here (models show it breaking up over the mountains), but also could help push Maria out to sea. We shall "sea" next week.

Enjoy the game and watch for some showers around. Remember - no umbrellas allowed in the stadium!
