Synopsis
A low pressure system will move through the region early in the week bringing the some synoptic oriented precipitation. This low pressure system will move to the northeast bringing in some warmer temperatures advected from the south. As the weekend comes, a strong frontal system will move through the area bringing in some heavy rain that will clear out by the start of next week.
Short-term (Wednesday into Thursday Night)
A low pressure system will makes its way through the Mid-Atlantic region bringing some synopitcally forced precipitation for much of the day Wednesday. As Wednesday comes to a close the models are suggesting some clearing and warmer temperatures moving into the area. Throughout the day Thursday and Thursday night the skies will continue to become clearer with the relative humidity's dropping.
Long-term (Friday through Monday Morning)
The temperatures will continue to soar with the approach of the next low pressure system from west which will likely drop significant precipitation over the Mid-Atlantic region. As the weekend approaches the skies will start to become much cloudy due to positive vorticity advection take place which will cause rising air and the increase in relative humidities. Over the weekend a long duration precipitation event will take place which will like end on Monday as the low pressure system moves up into Canada bring clearing skies and warm temperatures for the region Monday.
