Synopsis
As the low pressure system continues to push off to the northeast, the precipitation will gradually diminish west to east. A ridge of high pressure will provide pleasant weather for Thursday and Friday before another system will bring more unsettled weather to the state as we head into the weekend.
Short Term
The low pressure system that is currently moving away to northeast will allow skies to become partly cloudy overnight. Thursday will be much nicer with mostly sunny skies and highs in the 60's. With mostly clear skies Thursday night, temperatures will fall during the evening, although clouds could keep the temperatures from falling off too much.
Midterm
Friday looks to be another pleasant day with mostly sunny conditions with temperatures a tad cooler than Thursday due to some more clouds. As we approach Friday evening into Saturday morning, our eyes turn to a rain-maker that moves into the area from the west. Rain associated with area of low pressure moves over the area Saturday midday with the rain steadily increasing into Saturday evening. With the GFS and Euro as well as the Nam agreeing that the precipitation looks to arrive midday Saturday, the forecast for a dry Blue and White game looks bleak. The rain will generally taper off Saturday evening with amounts ranging from 1-2 inches.
Long Term
As the low pressure system moves out of the area by Sunday morning, skies look to become partly sunny and pleasant with temperatures a tad below normal due to some cold air advection behind the low. Once that rainmaker departs, a southern ridge will build into the region on Monday bring above normal temperatures and dry conditions for the start of the week.
