The WRF is showing a high pressure system build and progress to the northeast starting today and lasting through the end of the workweek. This system will clear out the clouds that have been overhead for the last few days in our area. The WRF is also showing significant precipitation activity for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will be well-below average which could support a few snow flakes in the higher elevations of the Appalachians. Otherwise, we will continue to see heavy precipitation for the weekend. A rumble of thunder is possible for Sunday with warm air advection in combination with the storms.
