WRF is showing a rather quite atmosphere as we progress into the afternoon hours for Thursday. However, the WRF is also showing a low pressure system associated with a warm front that is expected to pass through the Commonwealth 12z on Friday. With this system, we can expect moderate to heavy rain for the northern and western regions of PA (with regions in the west receiving upwards of an inch of total rain), with the Capital Region and Philadelphia dodging the rain bullet for the first half of the weekend. Rain will eventually encompass the entire state by 0z Monday. High pressure will push its way into the Mid-Atlantic Region by the start of the next workweek.
