Synopsis...
A Cold Front moves through the area Thursday... rain is expected in all parts of the state. Aside from that, the weather picture remains optimistic for the rest of this forecasting period.
Short Term...
A high pressure system will remain overnight Wed. into Thursday morning, which means most everyone will drive to work under mostly clear skies. By 15Z, however, a cold front is expected to enter the NW regions of the state. The WRF 18Z run suggests this system will be a day long event, with the rain finally making it to the eastern regions by around 21Z. Using the WRF 3-hr expected precipitation, along with MOS POPs, I went with a 60% chance statewide for this system, with areas to the north receiving a slightly higher POP. Eastern parts of the state will still be experiencing rain in the early morning Friday, but should be completely out of the area by the end of rush hour. Expect mostly cloudy skies for the day in the east, with gradual clearing as you head west for Friday. Temperatures will stay seasonable and avg for these two days.
Long Term...
A ridge of high pressure builds in early in the morning Saturday, which should create a picture perfect day. There may be a high cloud lingering, but nothing to keep anyone home from Saturday's game against Kent State. Some clouds may build in later in the evening. Sunday looks to bring in a weak disturbance from the NW, as indicated by MOS. GFS and WRF, however, indicate very little moisture associated with this system... So at the moment I am leaving a <30% chance of regional showers, with a better chance of precipitation in the north. Regardless, expect scattered clouds Sunday, with partly cloudy to mostly clear conditions on the plate for Monday. Temperatures stay avg and seasonable here as well... with low 70s expected on Saturday and slightly cooler in the upper 60s on Sun/Mon.
