Synopsis…

The ridge that has brought abnormally warm temperatures to the state, will stick around for Thursday.  Hurricane Earl will pass close to the coast and bring a chance of rain to the southeastern portion of the state for the day on Friday. Also, a cold front will be moving across the region on Friday bringing a slight chance for an isolated shower. The GFS has showers for most of the western part of the state and then has the rain fizzling out as it moves eastward. The clouds should keep temperatures down as well, with the central to southcentral PA looking like the warmest spots.  Saturday is still up in the air for showers.  The GFS and NAM are agreeing on the northwestern part of PA to see a few showers.  Saturday does look breezy with 15-20 knots showing up on the NAM. Also with 6 degree 850s on the GFS Saturday will also be chilly with temperatures not getting out of the 60s. Sunday looks to clear out as an area of high pressure moves into the region, and looks to stick around for the beginning of the work week.
