High pressure dominating the region through the weekend. A few weak disturbances move through the area, but none are expected to bring precipitation until a slight chance next Tuesday.
Short-term:
The strong high pressure over us is bringing in warm temperatures from the south throughout the weekend. This dry air mass eliminates all chance for precipitation and much of our chance for cloudiness. An extremely weak front will try to push through on Saturday night, bringing a chance for clouds. Temperatures will still persist in the upper 60's to low 70's.
Long-term:
High pressure breaks down and moves out at the beginning of next work week. Our next real chance of seeing precipitation appears to be on Monday night or Tuesday, but the models are nonetheless showing a low chance of precipitation. This is probably due to the dry air mass shown by the GFS at the 700mb level. Wednesday no longer looks quite as showery, but there is a possibility of another weak disturbance pushing through the region midweek. Overall, a fairly dry forecast period is predicted.
