Forecast Discussion

Synopsis...

The upper-level low pressure system that's dominated the weather picture the past few days is finally moving out of the region. The commonwealth should expect nothing less than warming temperatures and mostly clear skies through the end of the weekend. The next remote chance of rain comes early next week.

Short Term...

Not a whole lot to talk about here. The upper-level low pressure system that left the state chilly and wet the past few days will have made its final push out of here by the early morning on Thursday, according to the WRF. A few isolated showers, especially in the NE regions, are possible, but any precipitation left over from this system will be diminished by the early morning on Thursday. From here through Friday, expect mostly clear to clear skies through the evening on Friday. MOS shows a steady increase in temperatures, with near average temperatures tomorrow and above average temperatures on Friday (some areas SE and SW reaching the low to mid 70s).

Long Term...

MOS also shows persistence in the high temperatures, probably because of a steady W to WSW flow expected to remain from the passage of the upper-level low. The weekend looks to remain sunny, with temperatures nearly identical on both days. The WRF brings in our next system early Monday morning, but initially doesn't look to be all too strong. I left in a chance of isolated showers for Monday. Regardless, expect Sunday to be mostly clear during the day with clouds building in as the day progresses.
