Synopsis….
A stationary front stemming from an upper level low pressure system in Canada will end the beautiful weather. Temperatures will cool to around seasonal averages behind this system which will cause rain showers through tomorrow morning
Short-Term…
This front will stall out over Pennsylvania tonight causing widespread rain showers, these showers will linger into tomorrow morning before the cold front finally moves out of the area. An area of high pressure will develop behind this front allowing for sunny skies on Wednesday. However, due to the orientation of the wind, temperatures will not be nearly as warm as they were today.
Long-Term…
Another storm system will approach Pennsylvania and the two models handle it completely differently. The WRF has a trough digging down and also some vorticity that makes the South-east unstable and creates a surface low over South Carolina. The GFS has the same trough digging down further south which allows in drawing into the instability and creating a more intense surface low over Virginia. If the GFS is correct, Pennsylvania will see much more rain than if the WRF is correct and clouds would linger into early portions of the weekend.
