We still couldn't log-on fully to website, so we went directly to the forecast submit page: http://cws.met.psu.edu/members/zones.php.

Synopsis:

Another cut-off low will bring two more disturbances at the surface into Pennsylvania.  Generally unsettled weather is anticipated through at least Tuesday.

Short-Term (Sat.-Sun.):

The small disturbance from the west appears to stall in western PA by a model consensus.  The radar and obs indicate that the rain will affect Erie and Bradford as soon as mid or late afternoon, which is sooner than most of the models.  We have showers in NW and PM, with a slight chance of showers into NC and LH.

Long-Term (Sun. night – Wed.):

Another surface low will move near the Mid-Atlantic coast and hang around for at least a couple days.  Areas around and southwest of Altoona, State College, and Scranton will probably see at least one or two showers overnight Sunday.  The SREF precip probability shows a chance of seeing rates of > .5 inches per 24 hours, especially in southeast PA, but this looks to be generally light and showery, especially compared to last weeks' storms.  The GFS moves the system away and dries out PA for Wednesday, but the CMC keeps the system around longer.  We compromised and went with a chance of showers on Wed.
