A dry cold front is currently pushing through the Commonwealth. This cold
front will bring colder air to the region Monday and Tuesday, with temperatures
confined to the mid to upper 50's. There is a chance of light rain Monday
night into Tuesday. A high pressure system will build into the region late
Tuesday into Wednesday morning and will bring with it sunny weather and fair
conditions. Temperatures will be in the upper 50's on Wednesday. Another cold
front is expected to pass through the region on Thursday.
Short-term:
With the cold front rolling through on Sunday, there will be cloudy skies and
cold temperatures in the upper 30's/lower 40's throughout Sunday night.
Cooler temperatures will persist throughout the day on Monday with temperatures
in the mid to upper 50's and partly sunny skies.
Long-term:
The GFS shows a much wider region of PA getting precipitation in the form of
rain from Monday night into Tuesday morning than the NAM shows. In fact, the
GFS also shows southeastern PA getting much more rain Tuesday morning (between
.5'' and .7'') than the NAM predicts. Any rain in Centre County should
move out of the area by early Tuesday morning, giving way to partly sunny skies
and temperatures in the mid to upper 50's. The high pressure system will
build into the region Tuesday night into Wednesday and so Wednesday will have
fairer weather with partly sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 50's.
Another cold front will move through on Thursday bringing with it colder
temperatures for Friday.
